PBLRB Follow Up

We are so excited by the community support we received with our recent collaboration with PBLRB that we want to do more.

If you’re part of an organization that would love to be a part of this program let us know! If you have a carbon frame that you don’t want to repair and want to give a great life let us know, we can turn it into something awesome. Contact me at {safe_mailto(shawn@ruckuscomp.com)} for details.

We will be continuing to work with more local and national nonprofit organizations as well as grass roots cycling teams. To help support others how we supported PBLRB, Ruckus will repair and custom paint these frames and raffle/auction them off to raise money and awareness for causes that we believe in. The proceeds from these frames will go directly to organizations in need, the frames will go to the lucky winners of the raffles.

Let’s keep going.

Every so often a bike never gets picked up, and ends up in an “experiments” pile. Instead of attempting to turn it into a hoverboard we decided to do something a little different.

Our super awesome friend Anna from Let’s Race Bikes began organizing a group of local lady’s to race at the North Star Bike Festival (once Nature Valley Grand Prix). Anna is a long time friend of Ruckus and once I heard of her program and saw the ground work I knew we had to get involved.

PBLRB is about giving top amateurs a chance on the elite level. Here it is summed up best;

Our passion is all about supporting women who like to ride their bikes, hard. PBLRB is helping Pacific Northwest elite women bridge the gap between local- and national-level racing by crowd-sourcing financial support. One of the largest hurdles for elite women is a lack of resources (both financial and logistical) and adequate support, and we aim to tear that hurdle down and build something beautiful in its place.

We had over 80 people buy raffle tickets for the frames we repaired and repainted . Over $1,800 was raised to help with costly race entries and travel expenses and give these locals gals a chance at the big leagues. We’ll be hosting a night for these ladies to tell their stores at our shop soon. Stay tuned.

Have a broken bike? Here's where you start the repair process.
