Trek Procaliber Seatstay Repair

Scorpion Style, not to be confused with a Kung-Fu variation, is an absolutely horrific way to crash while mountain biking. For those of you unfamiliar, this means crashing over you handlebars while still clipped into your pedals with your legs then arching over behind your back. Ouch. We’re seriously thankful that our customer (somehow!) managed to escape this kind of crash without any serious wounds…how’s that for reflexes? Her carbon fiber Trek Procaliber 9.8, on the other hand, took a serious beating. The drive-side seatstay cracked almost completely through at the decal, rendering the bike completely unrideable. After much deliberation, she decided to send it to us for a full repair. We had to first remove all the damage from the stay and then rebuild it. After we needed to delicately recreate the decals and match the black-grit paint scheme. Have a damaged mountain bike frame sitting around? Send it to us, MTB season is just around the corner and will be here before we know it!

Have a broken bike? Here's where you start the repair process.
